Tag Rugby

In Year 3, the children have been learning the discipline 'Invasion', with the focus on Tag Rugby. In their lessons, the children have learnt the skills required to play Tag Rugby. In the lessons, the children learnt to how to use a short pass in a game. The children thought about tactics and how to use speed to run past defenders. The children learnt the skill of how to avoid being tagged and to apply the rules of tag rugby. They also learnt to perform a backward pass. In this unit, children were exposed to specific vocabulary such as: space, mark, dodge, attack, defend and possession.
